24 August 2007 – The UP Artists’ Circle held an Art Raffle, Pasundayag sa Sentenaryo at the Special Collections Section for the construction of the Student Art Gallery at the UP College of Fine Arts.

With each raffle ticket worth only P3,000.00, ticket holders had the chance to bring home an art work by renowned artists, among them Benjie Cabangis, Bernardo Pacquing, Neil Doloricon, Rock Drilon and Rodel Tapaya. All the artworks were donations from UP ACF alumni.

One lucky guest won three art works worth at least P100,000.00.

The rap group Tribu, who was made famous by the Cinemalaya-award winning film directed by Jim Libiran, performed for guests that night.

The famous Balaw-balaw Restaurant served sumptuous local fare to all the guests that night.

After the raffle, current fraternity members opened the exhibit to the student art works which are still on display at the University Library Art Gallery.

The fraternity also donated one Rodel Tapaya artwork to the University Library. It will soon be put on display at the Special Collections Section. –ECLagrama
