The League of Editors for a Democratic Society-College Editors Guild of the Philippines 1969-1972 (LEADS CEGP6972 Inc.)  through Prof. Ramona Flores , faculty member of the Department of Speech Communication and Theater Arts,College of Arts and Letters, donated copies of a book entitled “Not On Our Watch: Martial Law Really Happened. We Were There” to the University  Library and the  libraries of the   College of Arts and Letters,  Mass Communication and  Law,  respectively last  November 19, 2012.

The book is a compilation of stories on martial law by  14 student leaders and anti-Marcos activists who were members of the College Editors Guild of the Philippines (CEGP) during the Marcos regime. It portrays the authors’ fear of arrests and military reprisals, how they survived the hounding, detention and torture and recollects  funny moments amidst their dangerous situation.  It is edited by Joan Q. Maglipon, editor-in-chief  of Yes Magazine.

The donated book was handed over by Prof. Ramona Flores to Prof. Rodolfo Tarlit, University Librarian.
