UP Library Staff packing relief goods for Ondoy victims

Members of the UP Community were not spared from the havoc Ondoy wreaked. In response to this disaster, the Office for the Vice-Chancellor for Community Affairs (OVCCA) headed by Dr. Cynthia Grace Gregorio instructed colleges and units to form a task force to identify and help university staff and personnel affected by Ondoy. The Library wasted no time in mobilizing the Task Force; while some members identified library staff that needed help, other members solicited and gathered donations from organizations and individuals. Donations in kind were sorted and bagged for distribution while cash donations were used to buy groceries, cleaning materials, bottled water and toiletries to further augment the relief packages for Ondoy victims. – — ERLagrama
